Healing Foods: A Cultural Perspective

Join Chef Stephanie for a lecture on examining the concept and development of healing foods found in various cultures throughout history. As humans, we have tried to categorize foods to make the most sense out of what we eat (either as an individual or a community) and what it does to us internally. The concept of food as medicine has shaped many dishes throughout history and continues to be a conversation that highlights the significance what we choose to eat daily and how it changes with time, information, and thought.
Throughout the event, participants will also be able to enjoy Turner Farm-fresh dishes inspired by the lecture. The evening will end with an open discussion of this topic.
