Culinary Competencies: Knife Skills

Bring in the new year by either honing your culinary skills, or developing new ones. This class will focus on helping you gain more dexterity and confidence with holding and using chef knives. The Teaching Kitchen team will cover not only how to properly hold a knife, how to safely and efficiently slice, chop, and dice a myriad of ingredients, but will also take the class through the process of sharpening and caring for your kitchen knives. Students will use their newly honed skills to create Korean bibimbap—a beautiful dish full of color—perfect for combating the grey skies of January. Few spots will be available to maximize hands-on time and coaching!
