Teen Culinary Competencies: Knife Skills

The New Year is the best time to hone your culinary skills or developing new ones. This teen-only class will focus on gaining more dexterity and confidence with holding and using chef knives—an essential step for anyone who wants to safely and efficiently cook. The Teaching Kitchen team will cover not only how to properly hold a knife, but also how to safely and efficiently slice, chop, and dice a myriad of ingredients. Students will use their newly honed skills to create an extremely colorful dish called Korean bibimbap: perfect to combat the grayness of the winter. Few spots will be available to maximize hands-on time and coaching!
