Located in the village of Indian Hill, Turner Farm is the largest certified organic farm in the Cincinnati area. The farm has been in operation since the early 1800s and in 1994, under the stewardship of Bonnie Mitsui, it became a farm devoted to growing organically. The farm is home to a variety of plants and animals, both domestic and wild. There are open pastures for the sheep and chickens interspersed with gardens and fields. Turner Farm is also home to one of the nation’s premier teaching kitchens and provides educational opportunities for community members who want to bring the Turner Farm ethos of stewardship into their own kitchens.
The season lasts for 22 weeks, starting at the end of May and lasting through mid-October. CSA pickup days are Mondays from 5:30-6:30 pm and Thursdays from 1-2pm. Sharers are expected to be present at pickups to pack their own shares. Sharers who cannot make it to pickup may have their share packed….
