All Share-A-Plate Cincinnati volunteer hosts are asked to volunteer to organize, promote, and cover the costs to host a Share-A-Plate Cincinnati event within the dedicated fundraising time period of April 27 to May 31, 2018 (we are encouraging hosts to hold their events the weekend of April 27 if possible). Events can be intimate dinner parties, picnics, or happy hours with nutritious and delicious hors d’oeuvres. It’s up to you!
When you sign up, you will be able to create your own unique Share-A-Plate Cincinnati event website. You will be able to choose the date/time of your dinner and your own ticket price. The suggested ticket price is $75 per person, but tickets can range from $10 to $150.
Individuals – As an individual host, you can open your home (or co-host at a friend’s home) and invite guests to share a meal together. You can also work with a local business or restaurant to host your dinner. Be creative!
Organizations – Community groups and businesses can host a dinner in a private home, local business, or a community space. You can ask volunteers to prepare a homemade meal, invite a chef/restaurant to provide dishes, or purchase prepared food.
Restaurants – Restaurants can host a dinner for invited guests at your restaurant or in a private home. Other ideas include featuring an official Share-A-Plate Cincinnati appetizer or beverage on your menu with proceeds benefiting Cincinnati Children’s Build-It Bites. Have other ideas? All hosts are invited to the Turner Farm Open House on Saturday, April 14 where you will get inspiration for your menu from Whole Foods Market and pick up the official 2018 Share A Place Cincinnati Host Kit featuring everything you need to plan your meal and fun swag to help set the ambiance of the event.
