Class Series Overview

Gardening Basics for the Home & Community Gardener

A series of five classes offered by the Turner Farm Community Garden Program and hosted by the Price Hill Branch Library. During this interactive workshop series, we will grow together in knowledge, community, and well-being. On-site garden basics will be explored together at the Price Hill Community Garden. We will also utilize the study rooms at the Price Hill Branch Library located next to the community garden. Class topics include soil preparation, seed starting, pest management, harvesting for healthy eating, nutrition and more.

To inspire and sustain a lifetime of gardening, our training approach to home and community gardening is supported by classes to provide a foundation of knowledge and hands-on gardening experiences in community gardens. To support you in successfully gardening at home, or in a community garden, we will provide supplemental handouts that outline gardening best practices.

Classes are FREE and open to the public, with advance registration.

Instructor: Lauren Wulker, MS Biology
