Practical Growing Experience
During their time at Turner Farm, Veterans are trained in certified organic practices, crop and livestock management, soil and pest management, machinery and infrastructure maintenance, produce sales and marketing and other aspects of the farm. Trainees complete a season of hands-on work and education with the Turner Farm crop production staff and interns, during which second-year opportunities are discussed and determined.
