Cooking Classes
Teaching Kitchen
Eating local, seasonal food has enormous benefits for our health, environment, and economy. But first you have to cook it. We designed the Turner Farm Teaching Kitchen in consultation with the Culinary Institute of America to teach people to do just that. With a focus on health and wellness, our Executive Chef’s cooking classes give food enthusiasts of all skill levels the knowledge and confidence to cook nutritious and delicious meals. All classes offer a true farm-to-table experience, utilizing the freshest ingredients from Turner Farm or other local farmers and producers.
Barn Studio
Cooking classes are held in our exquisitely renovated 100-year-old barn. What was once the farm workshop is now a state-of-the-art teaching kitchen with eight, two-person cooking stations—the perfect setup for intimate, hands-on workshops. The dining room, which was previously the art studio of Turner Farm founder Bonnie Mitsui, is rustic yet comfortable.
Cooking Classes
You will receive a confirmation email upon booking and a reminder email within 24 hours prior to the event confirming date and time of class. If you have a dietary restriction, please indicate what they are on the registration form. We will do our best to accommodate all requests, but please see the dietary information and cooking oils information below.
No outside liquor can be brought onto our property at any time.
Upon arriving for your class, please park in the designated “event parking” area halfway up our driveway. Our Farm Market is open to the public so we reserve the parking spaces near the Farm Market for those customers only. Prior to class starting, you will be asked to review and sign a liability waiver.
Dietary Information
If you have a food allergy or dietary restriction, we encourage you to review the class menu prior to registering and contact us with any questions before purchasing tickets.
Upon check out, you will be asked to include all dietary restrictions and we will do our best to accommodate.
Cooking Oils
At Turner Farm, we prepare all recipes in our Teaching Kitchen using avocado oil for cooking and food preparation.
While we strive to accommodate many dietary preferences when possible, we are unable to modify recipes or provide alternative cooking oils for individual guests.
Thank you for your understanding and for helping us create a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
Class Registration Policy
To provide the best possible experience for all guests, registrations are final, non-refundable, and non-transferable.
Due to advance planning, ingredient purchasing, staffing, and limited class sizes, we are unable to offer refunds, credits, or transfers if you are unable to attend. Tickets may not be transferred to another individual.
In the event of inclement weather, classes proceed provided that the weather is safe for visitors on the farm.
We appreciate your understanding and encourage guests to carefully review their schedules before registering. Turner Farm does reserve the right to cancel events for any reason with a full refund provided to each participant. We greatly appreciate your support.
